Camping in Nagaland

Experience the magic of Amur Falcons & more in this beautiful state of North East India

Day 1

Aeroplane

Fly from Delhi to Dimapur, the commercial hub of Nagaland, the only city that has an airport in the state. Indigo operates direct flights on few days in a week.

Day 2

Car

Drive down from Dimapur to the roosting site at Pangti Village to witness the magic of the Amur Falcons. This can take anywhere between 5-7 hrs depending on road and weather conditions.

Day 3

Sight Seeing

Enjoy your campsite and wake up early to watch the Falcons fly high!

River

You can rest by the calm Doyang river where you will be camping to see various sights such as fishermen coming and selling fish, locals occasionally swimming (it's not advisable to swim, as the waters can be deep) and beautiful mountain views.

Day 4

Pangti

 to 

Kohima

Car

Drive down from the campsite to Kohima city to take a rest halt today in order to feel refreshed for tomorrow's sightseeing.

Day 5

Car

Sight Seeing

Head to see the beautiful terraced fields of Khonoma!

Museum

Visit Khonoma's beautiful Museum to learn more about the village life and tribal ways.

Car

Head to Dzulekie, just about 15-20 kms beyond Khonoma, to experience beautiful views!

Sight Seeing

Enjoy beautiful views of Dzulekie and sip warm tea by the window of a small tea stall there!

Car

Head back to Kohima to rest the night. Next morning, you may head back to home or could do local sightseeing in the city: Visit the local market, Cathedral, State Museum, Zoo and much more.

Day 6

Car

Head back to Dimapur to catch your flight back home.

Aeroplane

Head back by flight. You can also take the train. Dimapur is the only place in Nagaland that has a railway station as well.
