There are multiple routes for Harishchandra Gad. But the most common two are Pachnai (easy) and Khireshwar (Medium) Start your journey in the morning from pune towards Khireshwar.

At the base village of Harishchandra Gad (Khireshwar) you will get many small restaurants and parking facilities. Get refreshed, fuel up for the trek and fill up your water bottles if you are going in summer.

There is an Old Shiva Temple just 2 km from Khireshwar. They called it Nageshwar Mahadev Temple.

Harishchandra Gad Trek Via Khireshwar falls under Medium to difficult level category. Usually it takes 3-4 hours to reach the top.

At the top you will get a very beautifully constructed shiva temple and cave called Kedareshwar Gufa. Get the blessings of Lord Shiva and start hiking towards the main attraction of Harishchandra Gad that is The Mighty Konkankada.

Konkankada!!! That's the main attraction of Harishchandra Gad. Mighty 3000 feet sharp cut deep halfmoon like structure, anybody will fall in love with that place. Sunset from Konkankada is just surreal. You will find many campsites to stay here.

Wake up early and start your trek towards Taramati peak around 5am in the morning. Taramati peak is the 3rd highest peak of Maharashtra And it is one of the best places to watch sunrise. From here you can trek down to Khireshwar. Happy Trekking.
