Kathaldar waterfall

Must visit during monsoon

Day 1

We planned this trek for Sunday early morning and catched train at 5:55am for Lonavala. We had prebooked the tickets

We didn't want to exhaust overselves from the start so we hired a taxi from station. We were a group of 6 people so taxi guy took 2000 which was bit expensive but we agreed to it. We halted in between for breakfast and had famous misal

We did this trek on our own, so we had referred the blogs and started the trek from the start point i.e. 2 identical mango trees. There is an entry charge for the waterfall. At few intervals, there are ribbions and bottles as marking for the route

It took us 1 hour to reach the waterfall. Trek to the waterfall is descend and will returning it is ascend. We went till the base of the waterfall and it was a beautiful experience. We got drenched completely as it started raining but it was worth it

While returning back, we had to ascend so it took us 2 hours because we took multiple water breaks in between. The route was so beautiful with dense forest in between

We were all drenched, tired and hungry so we ate lunch on our way inside the city and then left for the station to catch our train back to home.

Our train to Mumbai was scheduled at 5:15. We were super tired and rested on our way back home. It was indeed a beautiful experience and would defintely recommend to visit once during the monsoon
