Day 1
Aeroplane
It was my mother's bday so i planned this trip for her with my family. We left on the Christmas eve to Ahmedabad. We wanted to visit few temples in Shankeshwar, Modhera and explore Patan and Ahmedabad.
Car
We had to attend the morning Puja so we planned our trip accordingly. Our first stop was Shankeshwar. It was a 3 hour journey from Ahmedabad. We hardly had 3 hours to rest at night at the guest house

We went to the temple by 8:30 and did the puja

After puja, we went to eat breakfast at a stall nearby the temple. We had authentic gujrati breakfast- jalebi, fafda, dhokla and some bhajiyas

Within a distance of half an hour lies this temple known as Jalmandir. There are 2 temples inside. 1 is surrounded by water and the other is in shape of turtle

While on our way to Modhera, we visited this temple of Maa Amba in Becharaji

After visiting Sun temple, we had our lunch at this place. The food was very tasty and the place was hygienic
This was the only best and budget friendly hotel in Patan. Our online booking wasn't showing up but the hotel staff were good enough and arranged the rooms for us and also gave us complimentary breakfast next day.
Day 2
Place
We were very excited to see this place as it was behind the 100 rupee note. So to get good pictures before the place gets crowded we went early morning around 8. There were very few people and we could see the place and take pictures patiently

We searched for good restaurants and found this on Zomato. The ambience was pretty and the food was decent but the service was very slow

This was exactly nearby to the Ahmedabad station

Lake
We had a lot of time left, so we spent quite some time here looking at the beautiful night view of the lake. There were many food stalls and game area for kids here. The place was crowded as it was a Sunday evening

As it was curfew during that time in Ahmedabad, the restaurants were getting closed early so we had to eat here. The food was overpriced and wasn't that great
