Amritsar

A beautiful city with a serene vibe!

Day 1

Probably the fastest and easiest way to get to Amritsar from Delhi is by flying there. Note: The airport is roughly 10 kms or more from the city centre.

Probably one of the most sought after places of worship is Harmandir Sahib or the Golden Temple. It's serenity will take you by surprise. Note: It is extremely crowded at any point of time in the day, so be prepared to stand in a long queue inside.

These two spots are at a walking distance to each other and can be covered on day 1 of your trip if you have sufficient time.

History book lessons come alive when one visits this historical monument. Don't forget to visit the actual well and the various rooms of the museum spread across this garden.
