Amritsar is a city in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab, 28 kilometers from the border with Pakistan. At the center of its walled old town there is the holiest golden temple.

Day 1

Delhi to amritsar is around 500kms and it will take 9 hours to reach with beautiful green fields all the way and authentic Indian food dhabas.

Amritsar is a very old city in india with a rich heritage, culture and beauty. This city is near to Pakistan border and lahore which was a part of punjab and got divide after partition.

One of the most holiest and beautiful gurdwara of India. Its made of gold and looks so beautiful surrounded with sarovar from all sides.

It is a historic garden and memorial of national importance preserved in the memory of tho who were killed in jallianwala bagh massacre.

Monument

The border is located 24km from lahore and 32km from amritsar. A beautiful ceremony takes place here in which both the armies take part. This place will give you goosebumps. Must visit when in amritsar.

Return journey by train which is a quite cheaper and comfortable mode of travel.
