Bike trip to Mussoorie

Amidst the Mist - Journey from Dehradun to Mussoorie by a bike.

Starting of my Journey from Kashmiri gate ISBT, I took a overnight bus to my first destination i.e., Dehradun. I arrived Dehradun ISBT at 0600 hrs and it took me another two hours to reach the rental shop. The bike I rented from Doon bullet riders.

Day 1

Bike

After renting a bike for two days (Apache, which cost me around 750/day) the Journey Begins towards Mussoorie, which is approx 35 kms from Dehradun and it took me around 1.5 hours to reach our stay. In Mussoorie i stayed at hotel name Castel view.

Mountain

First place i visited in Mussoorie was "Lal Tibba", which is the highest peak topmost point and most famous place. Lal tibba provides the mesmerizing views of the peaks like Badrinath, Kedarnath etc with telescope which is already installed there.

Sight Seeing

It's the second highest peak in Mussoorie and one of the most popular view points in the area. The viewpoint can be reached by a 20 mins uphill trek from Mall Road. From this point we get a 360 degree view of the town and other parts of doon valley.

Sight Seeing

This was one of the beautiful scenic place I had ever been to. If solitude is what you are looking for on your next trip to Mussoorie then you should definitely at this place. This place is at 6 kms from Library point and marks the end of hill town.

Market

An unmissable tourist place in Mussoorie, filled with shops, eateries, cafe's, a perfect tourist spot. It's best to take a stroll or sit and relax and offcourse for some shopping.

Day 2

I woke up early in the morning, had our breakfast in hotel and started our journey to head up to the new destination which is around 15 kms from Mussoorie, i.e., Kempty falls. The route takes me through zigzag road and the mesmerizing views.

Waterfall

Trip to Mussoorie can never be completed without visiting Kempty falls. It's the most popular tourist spot. The sight of crystal clear water gushing down, the waterfall cascades down from mountain into the pool below where you can cool off and swim.

After spending a long time at kempty falls I headed my journey back to Dehradun (almost 50 km) which takes me to lust green forest with the zigzag paths and reached dehradun in 0200 hrs and returned my bike.
