After reaching Batal, you can't ignore the most famous Dhaba of the area, run by two old people, called as chacha and Chachi. The hospitality was beyond words and food too. We had tea,and the famous Aloo da Paratha and clicked some pics with them.
Car
Here comes the difficulty part of trip, no bus goes to Chandrataal directly, the only option we had was to hitchhike. For that you can ask bikers or the people coming from travellers or cars, we got help from one of the family and they dropped us.
Camping
It's better to pre book your stay in tent in Chandrataal, it can be done online or by calling the certain camping teams. We stayed in Shakya camps and the rent was 1200 per person. The milky way is easily seen in the night and it was too cold.
Trek
The distance between both the places is 5 KM, you can either hitchhike or trek to the lake. We decided to trek upto the lake and taken the alternative route between mountains rather than going thru road. And the view was mesmerizing.
