Well known for its wonderful toy train journey, tea it grows, richness in its cultural heritage and the majestic views of Kanchenjunga.
We started our journey from Kolkata to New Jalpaiguri in the first week of October. From there you can either hire a taxi, zoom- car or opt for a toy train to reach Darjeeling. Toy train becomes hectic because it's really slow, but it depen on person
Homestay
We stayed in a beautiful home stay surrounded by beautiful mountains. I would recommend staying near Mall road Darjeeling area so keep in mind to take a short hike to reach your accommodation.
Sight Seeing
If you want to experience views of a toy train where it takes 360 degree rotation. Do visit this place. There are various food options near to this place. Take your lunch and leave of ghoom monastery.
Mountain
Start your day by visiting tiger hills for stunning views of Kanchenjunga. You can hire a taxi to visit this place. On the way ask your driver to stop at the rock garden.
Worship
This monastery is situated at 8000 feet altitude near Darjeeling. This place has a good collection of rare books on Buddhism. It offers a peaceful vibe and take a stroll around the streets of Ghoom.
Restaurant
When in Darjeeling visit the Glenary's bakery. There are more authentic and best options on mall road such as Dekevas, Keventers, Laziz(veg).
Sight Seeing
Start your day by visiting Lepchajagat. On the way try the authentic momos on the small stalls.

Visit this beautiful structure called Peace Pagoda. When it starts snowing, the surrounding gets covered with snow and the golden shade of this building highlights making it beautiful.
