During the monsoon season, the Sahyadri ranges become exceptionally beautiful. For the Devkund waterfall trek, we began our journey early in the morning from Pune and made a stop at the Mulshi Dam viewpoint. It's 43 km away from Pune.

A sky filled with clouds, lush green mountains, and Mulshi Dam create a perfect and beautiful picture. The Mulshi Dam was constructed approximately 100 years ago for irrigation and to generate electricity through a hydropower plant.

From the Mulshi Dam viewpoint, we proceeded towards Patnus via Tamhini Ghat. Patnus village serves as the base for the Devkund waterfall trek, where the adventure begins. It's around 60 km away from Mulshi dam viewpoint.

In Patnus village, we paid an entry fee of 100 rupees per person near the Bhira Tata hydropower plant and commenced a 4 km trek. The trail takes you past the Bhira Dam, adding to its scenic beauty. After 1.5 hour of trek, we reache at the waterfall.

After a moderately challenging trek, we arrived at our destination, Devkund Waterfall. It's an incredibly beautiful waterfall.Devkund is renowned for its picturesque beauty. The waterfall cascades from a height into a clear pool below.

Trekking

We spent 2 hours at Devkund Waterfall, taking a refreshing bath in the cool water. It was very relaxing. Then, we retraced our steps back to the base village.

Patnus

Pune

From Patnus village, we began our journey back to Pune. It started raining when we approached Tamhini Ghat, and after driving for 98 kilometers, we reached Pune in the evening.
