We drove midnight to Rajur village to get an early start to our trek. Which was around 190kms. It was a pleasant journey as we halted for starry night photography.
As we had no idea about the route we managed to convince a villager to help us on the trek. And after filling up our bottles and bags and shoes on we left for our trek to Katrabai.
Katrabai has the highest rock exposure in sahyadri. Katrabai could show chilling nights even in the month of May. We started exploring it on a sunny day in monsoons, routes were surprisingly filled with waterfalls and streams and breathtaking scenery
One can see vast expanse of Harishchandragad, Karkai, Kunjargad, Balubai peak, Naphta Peak, ghodishep 2 the south Ajoba, Karanda to the west and ,Muda, Gawaldeo, Ghanchakkar to the east, Ratangad, Alang, Madan, Kulang, Kirda peak, Sakira etc at north
It is one of the most fabulous with its variations of routes. Here we can bet you will have a good trekking experience with its wonderful environment and sceneries. At top of the hill there situated katrabai mandir.
The feeling of accomplishment, another mountain striked off the list, the flower season made the routes memorable and one of the most interesting jungle treks of all time.
We trekked back to base village.
