Trip to witness amazing beauty of sahyadri mountain ranges in monsoon season

Day 1

Bike

We began our journey early in the morning from Pune and headed towards Tamhini Ghat. It was the monsoon season, and it rained all the way. Road trips in ghats areas are always spectacular during the monsoon.

Mountain

After a 65 km drive, we reached Tamhini Ghat. The amazing views of lush green mountain ranges and waterfalls alongside the road were breathtaking. It's a perfect place to experience the beauty of the monsoon in Maharashtra.

From Tamhini Ghat, we reached Nizampura and continued towards Kumbhe Village in the ghat area. we encountered the Kumbhe Tunnel, an ancient tunnel spanning 200 meters. Emerging from the tunnel, we found ourselves at the upstream of kumbhe Waterfall.

We drove 1.5 km and arrived at a viewpoint that offered an incredible view of the Kumbhe Valley. During the monsoon season, the scenery is truly breathtaking.

We walked another 500 meters and reached the edge, where we could witness the stunning Kumbhe Waterfall. After a while, the waterfall disappeared behind the clouds, and the rain started pouring down.

Restaurant

After a long journey, we stopped at a roadside dhaba and enjoyed delicious Kanda bhaji, Vada pav, and hot tea.

It was an amazing trip. We experienced the monsoon in the Sahyadri mountain ranges and captured lots of photos and reels. Finally, we started our journey back to Pune.
