We started from our Hotel at 10 AM, reached Giriganga temple at around 12 PM and Kuppar Peak at 2 PM.
Covering a distance of about 8.3 km without any marked trails/route/signboard. Do not attempt this trek solo (unless experienced).
Luckily we did get the bus to Rohru for Rs 81 pp. Later we got a shared taxi to Chirgaon (which I wasn't able to shoot pic of).
At Chirgaon we got a hotel for Rs 800. Name - Hotel Chanshal
We got a shared taxi which charged us Rs 30 pp to drop us of at Tikkri. Now we had to find something to get to Larot (where our stay was).
We were introduced to a guy was going to Kharshali Village for some work. He agreed to take us to a certain pt
He mentioned about a really sacred temple in Kharshali Village and agreed to take us there since anyways he had to wait for other party.
You can easily find story behind sacredness of this temple on YouTube.
Quite a strenuous trek towards the Pass. It started to now 20 mins after I left the hotel. The snowfall converted itself into Snowstorm once I inched closer to the Pass.
So I had to turn from 3100 meters, a kilometre before Pass top.
I was lucky enough that a 4x4 group of locals came my way while storm was at its mightiest. They gave me lift till the hotel for which I would always be grateful to them. I was shivering like bad!
