Day 1

Boarded train at NDLS to Lucknow on 4th Feb 2021. Ticket cost us - Rs 350 pp (sleeper) and after a journey of 8 hours we reached Lucknow Junction at around 5 AM. We were greeted by light rains

Day 2

When the rain stopped, we took an auto and began our search for a hotel first of all. We got one 3ish Km from the station which cost us Rs 450 pp for 2 Nights

Famous for its mouth watering Galoti Kebab for mere Rs 40 per plate. Must try if you visit Lucknow

Located in Aminabad area. They serve the best Kesar kulfi and sugar free Kulfi as well. Rs 70 per plate but the quantity is worth every penny spent! Must try spot

Famous for it's butter Bun - chai combination. It'll be crowded so please be patient.

Beautifully carved park in memory of Dr Ambedkar. Contains quite many things to explore inside. Unfortunately we couldn't enter as due to covid entry was only allowed till 4 PM (we reached at 4:45 PM). Normally timings: 9 AM to 7 PM

We strolled around in this massive riverside area which has been well developed & perfect for evening walks, casual crusades. No entry fee and it's open till 9 PM

If you're a non-vegetarian, you just can't skip this place. The most properly cooked mutton curry I've had in Lucknow at this place. It opens at 4 PM till 10:30 PM. Closed on Tuesdays.

Day 3

6th February started with heavy breakfast at this point. The taste is amazing and it is served with matar, sliced onion, green chili and masala potatoes. If you're not used to chilly food, not to worry. They also serve Dahi (curd)- Jalebi!

Also known as Hussainabad Imambara, this marvelous structure is basically a congregation hall which was erected in the year 1838 for Shia Muslims by the Nawab of Awadh - Muhammad Ali Shah.

Amidst the chaos of the city life, this historical tourist attraction in Lucknow often referred to as Ghantaghar is tallest of its kind in India. It was aimed to be constructed as a replica of London’s BIG BEN Clock Tower.

Monument

The Rumi Darwaza, one of the heritage attractions in Uttar Pradesh, is also referred to as Turkish Gate because it bears a strong similarity in design to a gateway built in ancient Constantinople (today’s Turkey) called Bab-i-Humayun.

Bara Imambara is a large mosque complex whose main portion is an enormous hall, apart from the Asfi mosque and Baoli. Bhool Bhulaiya is the fanciest part of the complex. Stories of people wandering deep into the passageways, never to be found again

A winter sweet sold in Lucknow that is conceptually similar to Daulat ki Chaat of Delhi but tastes better & is more flavorful (in my opinion). It also goes by the name Makhan Malai & can be tried at "Chowk area" for Rs 40

This shop is appox a century and half old. It is a shop selling only two excellent items – plain Thandai & bhang thandai. Recommend u to go here when u have lots of time and engage in a conversation with the owner over a glass of thandai.

Wahid Biryani is an Awadhi Rice Dish made with the combination of 55 spices packets of ingredients, and these ingredients are the elegance of this Biryani.

The market is famous for selling jewellery, books, regular bric-a-brac and Indian wedding attires at a reasonable price. The market is also a great place to buy some chikan embroidery garments, for which the city is so famous.
