Day 1

Car

We took a rental taxi from Indore to Maheshwar it takes aprx. 4 hours to reach Maheshwar from indore.

Monument

Maheshwar is also known as Mini Banaras because of its mesmerizing Narmada Ghat, First day after reaching Maheshwar we took the blessings of holy river Narmada and then explored our destination.

The Maheshwar Fort is also known as Ahilya Bai Holkar fort. It is situated on the banks of the Narmada River and holds significant historical and architectural importance.The fort's architecture features a blend of Maratha and Mughal styles.

After that we took a boat ride from one end to another and clicked some beautifull snapshots of that evening.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and lies on the banks of the Narmada River. This temple also enshrines a deity of Lord Rama. Built by Krishnabai, Ahilyabai's daughter, it is called the 'Chhatri' or cenotaph of Ahilyabai.

After temple we explored the local market of maheshwar and bought Maheshwari silk sarees from the market.

Restaurant

After taking dinner at the most famous restaurant, Raj Bhog we ended our day and got back to our hotel.

Day 2

We had a good night sleep in our hotel and next day we went back to indore by our rental taxi.
