When you are in Jodhpur, this is one of the main tourist attractions. Read along to find out more about Mehrangarh Fort.

We were staying at a Homestay near Ummed Chowk. The host was more than happy to show us the way towards Mehrangarh Fort so we set out walking with him in the morning.

It was more like an heritage walk. I would recommend walking on these streets to get a taste of life.

It is one of the largest forts in India. Time required for exploring the entire fort would be minimum 4 hours. But depending on your liking for such places, you could even spend an entire day here.

There are various Mahals in this fort like Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal. Don't miss their magnificent structures.

There is a huge museum which displays everything ranging from the warrior weapons to household utensils.

While you are in Mehrangarh, don't forget to visit this beautiful cafe. The food here is really good. And the service is even better.

The Taj Mahal of Marwar, Jaswant Thada is at a walking distance from this fort so could walk up to it. And then end your day watching the sunset from the nearby hill.
