We reached Haridwar and started our trip by visiting the divine Ganga river. I walked on the famous Lakshman Jhula and watched the Great Ganga Aarti from Parmarth Niketan Ashram and headed back to my hotel.
Headed to Rishikesh for glamping stay. Our glampsite was located high in the mountains and the weather was just perfect for outdoor activities. We played games like badminton and had a fun little night out. Lastly I got to see an moon rainbow!!
It was a rainy morning and we left for White Water Rafting. The water was freezing cold but the rafting experience was adventurous and a big highlight of our trip. It was one of the most memorable moments of my life.
We left for Tehri Dam which is the tallest dam in India. The dam view was breathtaking and there were ample of fun watersports in the river. The jet-ski being the most adventurous. Next we headed back to our glamps.
The big day!! We finally left for Kedarnath at 2am and there were dangerous landslides happening on our way. After a lot of delays we JUST made it to the gates and were luckily allowed entry. Then started the 21km trek in 0°C
It was midnight, we only reached halfway but the nightsky was stunning. The temperature had dropped to -2°C & oxygen was getting thin. After reaching at sunrise, I visited Kedarnath mandir for morning aarti and gazed at the mighty Himalayas.
