Fly from New Delhi to Nagaland's commercial capital, Dimapur

Day 2

Next morning start your car journey from Dimapur to Mon. You could also takes an overnight bus on Day 1 itself.

Enjoy a walk around Mon town to soak in the beauty before your onward journey to Longwa village.

Day 3

Start your onward journey by car to this village which lies atthe Indo-Myanmar border.

Visit the house of the tribal chief (Angh). Whats unique? Half of his house is in India and half in Myanmar! No, you don't need a Myanmar visa to visit his house!

Day 4

Held every year from April 1-6, the main function is usually on the 6th, but it could differ, better to check in advance. You can enjoy the preceding of this fun and frolic festival at Longwa in its true glory.

Day 5

Here's one of the border markers which allows you to step into Myanmar from one side and the other side you're back to India! Make sure to visit any of these..the views are spectacular!

Day 6

Drive down back from Longwa for your onward journey from Mon town.

Take the overnight bus that gets your early next morning to Dimapur city so you can head back.

Day 7

Aeroplane

Head back by flight.
