We reached pondicherry all the way from Chennai. We were 3 families together. We had booked our stay already. So, it was all about reaching and relaxing for sometime in the resort and get going immediately for sightseeing.
We had this amazing retreat booked for ourselves in the calm village Auroville. We took our respective rooms and took a shower to first see the amazing property which had a pool and beautiful garden area to enjoy in.
We started off from the pondicherry to reach the beautiful Paradise beach. It is situated just like an island, exotic and serene. It took a good half an hour boat ride to reach the Paradise beach. The beauty of the beach can't be explained in words.
We returned from the Paradise on Earth to relax and move ahead for street hopping and shopping. Got a lovely Kerala home food restaurant where we had a Kerala meal. It sufficed our craving for South Indian meals. We had it at Vandanam, Auroville.
In the evening we went ahead for some nice walk to see around the local things. We explored alot and had podi dosa, red velvet waffle, shakes everything at a very nominal price. I would suggest to eat in the market space rather than hotels for budget
Next day we started off early sights on our list were French colony, Gandhi statue, rock beach etc. We wanted to see the famous coloured monuments of the French town. It indeed was beautiful
From French colony we started moving towards Rock beach. To witness the crashing waves across the rocks. If one visits a place always try to cover as much spots as you can.
We moved ahead for a ten minute walk to reach Gandhi Statue. We took some pictures as it was quite sunny couldn't stay for long. So, prefer less sunny time to visit this particular place.
We started to drive off to Chennai. This brings out beautiful trip to Pondicherry to an end. Pondicherry is a tourist friendly place where you should make up atleast once.
