The route from Manali to Sarchu leading to Leh is a much-loved destination for nature & adventure lovers. The route was made as a substitute for the Srinagar-Leh road. It is a dream route for biking enthusiasts and shutterbugs.
The best camp for night stay and for acclimatisation. Surrounded on all sides by barren but at the same time the most beautiful mountain ranges, this camp at an height of 14500 ft provides u all basic needs & amenities to relax & acclimatise.

▪️NOTE: There are no options to eat except for the stalls at the campsites. These stalls builtin traditional Himalayan style. They offer Tibetan cuisine like soups, momos & noodles among other things.

River
The Tsarap river originates from the high ranges of Lahaul & flows through the interior mountains of Ladakh before joining the Lungnak river in Zanskar. The Yunam flows into theTsarap river near Sarchu. ✅ Do explore!!

▪️Mobile Network: There is no cellphone reception in Sarchu. BSNL has the widest coverage in Himachal and Ladakh but even that does not work in Sarchu.

▪️Best Time To Visit: May to September, this is the time in which the climate of Sarchu is slightly warmer as compared to any other months. Tourists love to come over to Sarchu in this frame of the year & enjoy camping.

▪️EMERGENCY: Medical facilities are readily available for tourists in the Goldrop Camp. Individuals who get affected by high altitude sickness due to shortage of oxygen can be admitted at this facility.

▪️ATM: There is no ATM service available in Sarchu. ▪️Petrol Pump: Only petrol pump that u can find in the Leh-Manali expressway is the in Tandi. The next petrol pump is at Karu before the township of Leh (350 kms from Sarchu).
