The complex is built overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers - a spectacular setting for a gompa. You will love the structures around.

Pin Valley National Park is the only National Park in Himachal Pradesh which is situated in the cold desert area. We spent some time with the students in a local school here and gave them the stationary we got from home.

Situated at an altitude of 4300 meters, Chandratal offers the most splendid views of the Spiti region. The lake is crescent-shaped, and that is how it got its name.
